Personal Profile

My name is Oscar Munera, I am married and I have a son. My wife's name is Adriana we are both teachers, we graduated together twice.

I love spending my free time with my wife and son, going out to eat, listening to music. Also, in my free time I visit my family (my wife's and mine) and walk our dog.

I like rock music because of the power it has. It is like an explosion of energy that you receive right through you. I believe we must find something that awakes passion inside us and I am flad I found this type of music, it is just great!

Professional Profile

I studied Translation at University of Antioquia. Later on, I decided to study teaching too so I did a one-year program at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana.

I have worked at two schools: Calasanz and Montessori. At calasanz I worked for four years and then I moved to Montessori. While working at Montessori I also studied a one-year program called ICELT.

During the last 5 years I have progressed a lot as a professional, being at Montessori has been a very important phase in my career.

Didactic and Pedagogical Possibilities of the Web 2.0

There are many uses for this tool in my subject. For instance, I could post webpages that can be interesting for students so they can study at home, we also could have a project and post results here, sometimes in class we watch videos and make listening comprehension exercises and those videos can be shown in this way too. All these are ways to improve our pedagogy.
Likewise, students might create their own projects where they have to present their findings. Thus, their partners would be able to easily see their classmates' works and there will be no need of a Power Point Presentation where they have to wait until the one who is control decides to move on to the next slide.
In conclusion, this tool will effectively help the learners' process and will open a lot of possibilities to study in many different ways.
